  • Voted #1 Boot Camp in Mississippi by the public; Recognized in Clarion Ledger

2014

  • Named to Mississippi State University’s 100 Year Football All Century Team
  • Voted among and chosen by the community to be best trainer in the Jackson Metro Area through the Jackson Free Press
  • Nominated for best linebacker for the 100 year football team at Mississippi State University

2013

  • Chosen for the 2013 Young Influential Award by Boom Magazine
  • Chosen by PBS to work on a documentary that will be shown nationally within the next few years
  • Featured in an edition of Men’s Health Magazine for PLS and the Fit 4 Series
  • Nominated for the White House Champions of Change Award , which was selected by the President for Fit 4 Teaching
  • Nominated for the Magnolia Award for Paul Lacoste Sports’ dedication to nutritional education in the state of Mississippi

2012 or later

  • Presented with the MSMA Award for Excellence in Wellness Promotion by the Mississippi State Medical Association
  • Presented with Paul Lacoste Day by the Mississippi legislature on March 31st
  • Contacted by the Oprah Winfrey Network for a feature with Lisa Ling that took place at JSU with the discussion of the Fit 4 Teaching program
  • Fit 4 Change has generated approximately $4,000,000 of earned media coverage. In publicizing and promoting the program and the state, Fit 4 Change appeared on news network shows like Fox News Happening Now, CNN Newsroom and National Public Radio Tell Me More, and in more than 600 additional publications across the country, including The New York Times and The Washington Post. Within Mississippi, Fit 4 Change was covered by every television news station in the state, several print outlets, such as The Clarion- Ledger and Mississippi Sports Magazine, and radio shows like The Paul Gallo Show and Mississippi Public Broadcasting’s On Air Radio Live.

To date: Fifteen PLS athletes have been inducted into the 100 Pound Club.
